Voltamp Energy SAOG (and its subsidiary Voltamp Power SAOC), recognized as the largest power transformer manufacturer in the GCC region, specializes in producing high-voltage transformers up to 400 kV and 500 MVA ratings locally in Oman. Facilities in Sohar and other locations enable the company to design, manufacture, and test advanced power and distribution transformers, supporting Oman’s energy goals and reducing import dependency.
Key Positions Available :
Applicants must have relevant experience in large transformer manufacturing companies, with hands-on shop floor expertise in high-voltage power transformer production.
- Transformer Winders (23 Vacancies)
- Qualification: ITI/Diploma in Electrical.
- Experience: 5–7 years in production shop floor for distribution/power transformers.
- Responsibilities: Operate and control transformer winding machines; monitor coil performance; adjust winding speed, tension, and quality; wind and assemble coils; load raw materials (wire, insulation); inspect for defects, improper tension, breaks, or damaged insulation; perform routine maintenance on winding equipment (cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs); maintain accurate production records for quantity, specifications, and quality.
- Transformer Technicians/Assemblers (23 Vacancies)
- Qualification: ITI/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical.
- Experience: 5–7 years working on 50 MVA to 500 MVA, 132 kV to 400 kV class power transformers.
- Responsibilities: Final assembly preparation including tank, conservator, cable boxes, headers, radiators, OLTC (On-Load Tap Changer) head mounting, conservator matching, core assembly, turrets, fans, bushing clamping, CT assembly & connection; leakage testing; dismantling of complete transformers; accessories connection.
